This is such an insightful posts. Thanks for sharing. I would to say that Twitter is a great site and with its marketing tools, it is even better. IT is highly recommended by me and other people to use Twitter and start twittering.. Looking forward to reading other great posts.

Twitter is changing celebs lives, companies, and lowly podcast producers! I have even seen a bump in our attorney's blog site (www.brentbritton.com) because of his posts, Guy kawasaki has added a law.alltop.com badge for him! Twitter is a phenomenon, and looks like it's doing nothing but gaining steam. I even posted apps on my blog posts at www.chuckpalm.com/twitter and posts to my stats, is that bragging? Admit it, that is what this is all about!

Pete - stop hanging around people who don't use Twitter! (LOL)...Seriously explaining Twitter is not easy to non users. I've been there too. I often say that Twitter is not for everyone. In each business someone either embraces it and runs with it or it doesn't get off the ground. Unlike the WSJ article, Twitter is not quite mainstream yet. But, it's getting closer. The more non-tech businesses use it the faster the "tech only user" argument will die. L.A. Fire Department is a great non-tech example.

Nice summary, Bernie. Twitter certainly has it's benefits.

I was hanging out with a bunch of buddies this weekend and me and another tech savvy buddy were trying to explain twitter to the rest of em. Not an easy thing to do. I still think most people are wondering the "why" and "how to". Twitter is certainly good for marketing and for hyper-networking. But, will normal people ever use it?
